City Ranked High For Business Expansion

From Staff And Wire Reports

Spokane has been named by a national economic development and site selection magazine as one of the top 25 cities nationwide for business expansion and relocation.

According to the Spokane Area Economic Development Council, Outlook Americas magazine bases its “25 Choice City Awards” on factors that corporate managers must consider when deciding where to move and grow their businesses.

According to the magazine, U.S. Census data along with statistics from the U.S. Departments of Labor and Commerce and the U.S. Conference of Mayors are used to create profiles of cities’ quality of life, cultural amenities, work force availability, crime, business attitude and education opportunities.

Some other cities on the list are Raleigh-Durham, N.C., San Francisco, San Antonio, Nashville and Atlanta.
