Alpine skiing/snowboarding

Lookout Pass has 4 feet of new snow and is running a Free Ski School Saturday for ages 5-18 interested in skiing or snowboarding. Ladies Day is Thursday and Boomers Day (over 40) is Fridays. Lift tickets are $10 for skiers in those categories. Info (208) 777- 7701.

49 Degrees North is hosting the Tele-Daze Telemark Race Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. Entry fee is $32 and includes a lift ticket and a T-shirt. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Info - 935-6649.

Mount Spokane is offering half-day passes for those who turn up after 1 p.m. Night passes are available after 4 p.m. for $10. Info - 238-2220.

Bring in a lift ticket to Schweitzer from anywhere for the current season and ski for $20. Info - (208) 263-9555.

Nordic skiing

Methow Valley will hold the Methow Pursuit on the Community Trail Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The trail remains open to the public so watch out for racers. Entry fees are $55 for both days and $20 for one. Info - 996-3287.

Trails at Mount Spokane are at their best. With blue skies, sunshine and trails groomed last night.

Snowmobiling

Four feet of new snow in the Colville area has kept groomers operating the past four days at Beaver Lodge.

Mount Spokane had its trails repaired and groomed and are ready to go.
