George Free Throws Save Saxons

Amy George hit two free throws with 6 seconds left to give visiting Ferris a 52-51 Greater Spokane League girls victory over University on Friday night.

Vanessa Shelton of U-Hi tossed up a shot at the buzzer, but it bounced off the rim.

George, who scored a season-high 28 points, made 9 of 11 free throws for the Saxons (8-2, 7-1).

Crystal Conant hit three 3-pointers for the Titans (3-7, 3-5), who sank 6 of 12 3-point attempts and 5 of 7 free throws.
