Southern Idaho’s defense forced North Idaho into 19 first-half turnovers and the Golden Eagles (16-2, 6-0) cruised to an 80-69 Scenic West Athletic Conference basketball win at Twin Falls.

Tammi Goyne led NIC (11-3, 3-3) with 21 points. Becky Huddle chipped in with 18 points, including 10 of 11 from the free-throw line.

Tara Millet turned in career highs with 22 points and 15 rebounds to lead Pacific Lutheran to an NCIC victory over visiting Whitworth.

Millet, a sophomore, and freshman Betsy Ruud combined to score 22 points as the Lutes (9-4, 5-1) jumped out to a 44-23 halftime lead.

Star Olson tossed in 15 points to pace the Pirates (4-7, 3-2).
