Accident Leaves Seven Hospitalized
Seven people were hospitalized early Tuesday when a vehicle spun out of control and collided with another on icy roads just south of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho State Police troopers said.
A Chevy Blazer driven by Kenneth M. Defren, 50, of Mt. Kisco, Ky., was southbound on U.S. Highway 95 near East Riverview Drive about 7:30 a.m. when it lost control on the ice.
The vehicle spun into the path of a northbound pickup driven by Keith G. Roth, 40, of Coeur d’Alene, troopers said.
Defren and his passengers, Howard Goldfrach, 59, of Milford, Conn., Robyn B. Wuthnow, 24, of Hoboken, N.J., and Robert Elson, 57, remained in serious condition at Kootenai Medical Center late Tuesday. Troopers do not know Elson’s hometown.
Roth also remained in serious condition. His passengers, Dillin F. Roth, 10, and Cassie M. Roth, 8, remained in fair condition. , DataTimes
