Cheney Tops Post Falls In Overtime

Border League

Pat Stifler hit two 3-pointers in overtime to rally 10th-ranked Cheney past Post Falls 75-64 in a Border League boys game at Post Falls.

The Blackhawks (12-2, 9-1) rallied from a 10-point, fourth-quarter deficit to take a 59-56 lead, but the Trojans’ Chad Quesnell nailed a 3-pointer to send the game into overtime.

The Blackhawks made 22 of 27 free throws. Post Falls (6-6, 5-5) made 16 of 27.

Andrew Burgess scored a game-high 33 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a losing effort as the Knights (1-12, 0-9) fell to the visiting Timberwolves (8-6, 5-5).

Chad Bramlet scored all 12 of his points in the second half and connected on a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to stave off an East Valley rally.

Burgess knocked down 14 of his 28 shots from the floor.
