There would be no need for a Lake City comeback over Cheney this time.
The T-Wolves jumped ahead of Cheney 17-0 during Tuesday’s 59-31, Border League title-clinching win at Coeur d’Alene.
Alison Asher hit 6 of 6 from the field and blocked seven shots for LC (19-0 overall, 15-0 BL), Idaho’s top-ranked A-1 team. The game had no flavor of their mid-December matchup, when LC rallied for a 58-55 win.
Anna Getz of 3A eighth-ranked Cheney (11-5, 9-3), who burned LC for 37 points two months ago, scored just 12 on 4 of 19 from the field (0 for 8 on 3-pointers).
