Masked Man Robs Texaco

A masked man robbed the Sullivan Texaco Friday morning, taking a jewelry case containing $800 in rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings.

He did not take any cash, sheriff’s deputies said.

The robber, who carried a black handgun, entered the store at 1007 N. Sullivan just before 4 a.m. and told the clerk to get down on the floor or he’d blow his head off.

The robber took the jewelry case off the counter and left.

The clerk described him as a white man in his 20s, about 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds. He was dressed in black jeans, a black sweatshirt and a black ski mask, police said.

No arrests have been made.
