Suspects Arrested

Sheriff’s deputies arrested two men Monday after responding to an alarm at the Little German Inn.

Ernest Burke, 48, of 6 W. Main, and James J. Lambert, 27, of 5001 E. Fifth, were arrested for second-degree burglary just after 3 a.m. Monday, according to police reports.

Deputies responding to the silent alarm found a hole in one of the walls of the restaurant at 25 S. Park Road.

When deputies announced that a police dog was going to start searching the building, a man ran from the rear of the restaurant, according to police reports. Deputies found him hiding nearby.

The police dog located a second suspect inside the kitchen. The man was arrested without incident.
