New Post Falls Fire Station Planned

Plans are in the works for the Post Falls Fire Protection District to have a new station, possibly near state Highway 41.

Post Falls annexed the land, owned by Hayden Lake resident Joe Gore, in February. Now, Gore and the fire district are sorting through the financial details of transferring ownership.

The district now has only one full-sized station covering land that stretches from State Line to Huetter. Chief Lynn Borders and the fire commissioners say that’s not nearly enough. They plan to build one station on Gore’s land on 16th Avenue and possibly another on the west end of town.
