Developer Rejects City Annexation
The City Council back in May rejected the idea of 228 homes on 32 acres on the south end of town.
On Tuesday, the would-be developer rejected annexation by the city.
Dan Bedwell, the landowner, and Ken and Scott Way, the builders, withdrew their application for the land’s annexation Tuesday night.
They had said they planned to do so at the May council meeting. At that meeting, the city told them it wanted lot sizes that would be too large to fit the number of homes the applicants wanted for their project.
