On display at Reeder Chevrolet in Knoxville, Tenn., recently was the deluxe LT MELON model watermelon, complete with anti-theft device, pin stripes and the Chevrolet emblem. The car dealership was making a statement about the dwindling inventory of cars due to the General Motors strike, and to keep morale up among employees, the lot had a watermelon sale, list price $2.99.
