An Arty Encounter

Visitors view an intriguing artwork display made of wax hands and flashlights at “Max 98,” showing through Saturday at the Memphis Art Museum in Memphis, Tenn. The piece, by Arkansas student artist Brian Wasson, is called “untitled” and is among numerous works selected for their originality. Among the other eye-catching creations is a giant flag of cigarette butts and a meditation on business cards.
