Spokane Library Will Answer E-Queries

From Staff

People can now send questions to Spokane’s public libraries by electronic mail.

E-mail users sending queries to the downtown library can expect an answer within 24 hours. Librarians typically get questions like: “Who was Spokane’s mayor in 1963?” or “How far is it from Coeur d’Alene to Paris?”

The e-mail option supplements the library’s telephone reference service, which began in the 1980s.

The electronic address: telref@spokpl.lib.wa.us The service is limited to people with a valid Spokane Public Library card, reference librarian Jim Pace said.
