Schools Join To Offer Business Program Courses To Be Taught Over Internet, Television

Washington State University, Eastern Washington University and four other schools have teamed up to offer four-year business administration degrees this fall closer to home.

Championed by WSU, the program received final approval last week by the state Higher Education Coordinating Board. In addition to WSU and Eastern, University of Washington, Central Washington University, Western Washington University and Evergreen State College will participate.

The first courses will be offered in August from WSU on two-way television and the Internet at certain community colleges and four-year state schools. The upper-division classes are available to students who have completed two years of college.

By the year 2000, the consortium of schools hopes to expand and offer the bachelor’s of business administration program from nearly any location in the state.
