If You Can’T Dig Having Streets Torn Up, Here’S A Little Help
These days, it’s easy to find traffic trouble in the Spokane Valley.
Welcome to road construction season.
It’s ugly out there driven east of Sullivan on Sprague lately? Been down Pines? And it’s going to stay that way for a while.
With that in mind, we’re introducing a new weekly feature in today’s Valley Voice that’s intended to help you cope.
How?
By warning you about all the construction projects that will affect Valley traffic during the next seven days.
Check the list of construction projects that will appear in the Voice each Saturday this summer and you’ll know which roads to avoid as you go about your business.
The resurfacing work that has snarled traffic on the Interstate 90 ramps at Argonne and Pines is complete. But next week, you’ll encounter road crews in these areas:
Sprague Avenue
Continued construction between Sullivan Road and Tschirley Road. One lane of traffic each way.
Pines Road/Highway 27
Continued construction along Pines and Highway 27 between Interstate 90 and 32nd Avenue. Expect delays and some lane closures.
Applevalley sewer project
These streets will be open to local traffic only:
Fourth, Sixth and Seventh avenues from Bowdish Road to Pierce Road.
Pierce Road from 11th Avenue to 16th Avenue.
12th Avenue from Pierce to University Road.
Ninth Avenue from Bowdish to Pierce.
