Suspect Arrested In Colfax Stabbing
Authorities from Lincoln and Whitman counties arrested a stabbing suspect outside a Sprague, Wash., restaurant Tuesday.
Arnoldo Everett, 42, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. as he was sitting outside the Viking Inn restaurant while waiting for a ride, according to the Whitman County Sheriff’s Department.
Everett was booked into the Whitman County Jail on assault charges stemming from the stabbing of a fellow migrant worker early Sunday.
Deputies said the two had been drinking at a Colfax bar.
The victim, 33-year-old Saul Flores, was reported in stable condition at Deaconess Medical Center.
Officers from Lincoln County and the Washington State Patrol assisted in making the arrest. Everett was carrying a large knife but offered no resistance, said Whitman County Sheriff Steve Tomson.
WSP troopers found Everett after spotting a car he is suspected of having stolen Monday in Whitman County.
