Three Men Rob Hotel

Three men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a desk clerk at the Rodeway Inn Airport on June 5. The clerk said the three rushed into the lobby, one pointing a gun at him.

One man jumped over the counter and forced the clerk to open the cash drawer, said police spokesman Dick Cottam. The man took some money, and the three ran from the building.

The clerk thought they left in a white Toyota 4Runner, and officers found a similar vehicle that had been stolen near the Rodeway Inn, he said.

A search for the three suspects was unsuccessful, and police believe they left the area in a second vehicle, Cottam said.

The three were described as Hispanic males in their late teens or early 20s. The one with the weapon was about 6-feet tall and 140 to 150 pounds. The clerk told police the weapon looked like a zip gun.
