Plane Crash Passenger Was Nevada Resident

The passenger in a small plane that crashed into Lake Roosevelt last weekend was identified Thursday as 38-year-old Jeffrey A. Markos of Sparks, Nev.

Markos was part of an archaeological team studying a Native American campsite near Kettle Falls. He and pilot Blanton H. Owen, 53, of Reno, Nev., had just finished photographing the site when their plane crashed, killing them both.
