Gorge With A Crowd

Hiking

You won’t have trouble finding hiking partners Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the 18th annual Columbia Gorge Hiking Weekend.

Don’t let the three-day lineup hold you back; the itinerary is such you can join a hike any of the three days and not commit to a whole weekend.

The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Columbia Gorge. Friday, all of the hikes are volkswalks, in which each participant of the self-guided walks establishes a personal pace along a marked route.

Saturday and Sunday, hikers can choose from several easy hikes, a couple of volkswalks, several moderate hikes, a couple of strenuous routes or a horseback ride (bring your own horse).
