E. Sprague Denny’S Robbed

An armed robber hit the Denny’s restaurant at 5815 E. Sprague Saturday night, escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robber walked into the restaurant at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, according to police reports.

He told the restaurant manager he had a gun in his pants, and that he wanted to go into the back office. There, he ordered the manager to open the safe. He grabbed some money and stuffed it into his shirt, deputies said. He then fled on foot.

A witness said she saw the handle of a gun in the suspect’s waistband.

The robber was about 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, in his mid- to late-20s, with brown eyes and brown hair. He has long sideburns and a goatee. He wore black jeans, a red shirt and a red baseball cap, witnesses said.

No arrests have been made.
