Churches Offering Summer Bible Schools

Two summer Bible schools are starting in July.

Moran United Methodist Church, 3601 E. 65th, will host its vacation Bible school July 13-15. The school, with the theme, “Come to the Storytelling Tree,” will run from 6 to 8 p.m. each day.

Each evening will begin with dinner followed by crafts, games, singing and Bible stories told in drama, music and mime. Kids of all ages are invited to attend and either participate in the classes or to assist.

“Get Hooked on Jesus” is the theme for this year’s vacation Bible school at First Covenant Church, 212 S. Division, July 13-17. All children age 5 through the sixth grade are invited to attend the school, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The school will include songs, skits, crafts and a light lunch each day. Classes are free. The registration deadline is Tuesday.

Worship schedule changes

Central Lutheran Church, 309 W. Fifth, has moved to its summer worship schedule. Services will be offered each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Worship on the first and third Sundays will be traditional, and worship on the second and fourth Sundays will be contemporary.
