Weather Delaying Highway 53 Work

Rain and cool temperatures have forced delays in repaving Idaho Highway 53 from Rathdrum to Atlas Road.

The delay will last through the Fourth of July weekend, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The contractor, Interstate Concrete and Asphalt of Coeur d’Alene, will start paving July 6, weather permitting.
