Driver Charged After Incident At Fire Scene
A Spokane man was arrested Saturday after recklessly driving his car at a fire scene, police said.
Steven Lee Konshuk, 22, nearly hit several people who were watching a fire in north Spokane, police said.
An officer followed Konshuk and saw him narrowly miss several people as he drove on Buckeye at more than 40 mph.
Konshuk was driving with a suspended license, police said. Officers also found open beer cans on the floor of his car and an unopened half case, police said.
He refused to take a breath test and was arrested for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. He was released to his family and was ordered to appear in court.
