Most Parks Booked For Holiday Weekend
All but one of Washington’s state parks that accept reservations are booked for the July 4 weekend, the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission said.
The only one left is Sash Point State Park in Federal Way.
But there are 40 parks, which are first-come, first-served. Some, such as Deception Pass on Whidbey Island, fill up as early as Thursday.
To get general information about state parks, campers may call the State Park Information Center at 1-800-233-0321 or 1-800-833-6388 for the deaf or hearing-impaired. To make a campsite reservation for later in the summer, call Reservations Northwest at 1-800-452-5687 or 1-800-858-9659 for the deaf or hearing-impaired.
