Brad Miller scored 18 of his 30 points in the second half and Mike Robinson made two free throws with 30 seconds left in overtime Sunday to lift No. 11 Purdue to a 99-96 victory over No. 10 Michigan State in East Lansing, Mich.

The loss forces the Spartans to share the Big Ten regular-season title with Illinois although they will be the top seed for the conference tournament.

Jason Klein hit a jumper from just beyond the free throw line with 45 seconds remaining in overtime to give Michigan State (20-6, 13-3) a 96-95 lead. Robinson was fouled after grabbing an offensive rebound and made both free throws to give the Boilermakers (24-6, 12-4) a 97-96 lead.

The Spartans’ Mateen Cleaves missed a driving layup with about 4 seconds left and Purdue’s Alan Eldridge was fouled. He hit both free throws to wrap up the win.

(4) Kansas 71, (25) Okla. St. 67

At Stillwater, Okla., Raef LaFrentz scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half and also grabbed 14 rebounds to help the Jayhawks (31-3, 15-1 Big 12) close out the regular season with a victory over the Cowboys (21-5, 11-5).

The Jayhawks led by 13 points at halftime and by 10 with 6:28 remaining, but had to withstand a rally to beat Oklahoma State for the sixth straight time and end the Cowboys’ seven-game winning streak.

All the starters scored in double figures for Kansas, which outshot the Cowboys 48 percent to 37 percent.

(24) Temple 74, (20) UMass 66

At Philadelphia, Pepe Sanchez scored 19 points and Rasheed Brokenborough added 16 as the Owls (20-7, 13-3) defeated the Minutemen (20-9, 12-4) to win the Eastern Division of the Atlantic 10.

The victory gave Temple a first-round bye in the league tournament, which begins Wednesday in Philadelphia.

Monty Mack had 15 points for the Minutemen, who will meet Virginia Tech in the tourney’s first round.

(23) Syracuse 77, G’town 72 (OT)

At Syracuse, N.Y., Todd Burgan came alive in the second half and rallied the Orangemen (22-7, 12-6 Big East) to an overtime win over the Hoyas (14-13, 6-12).

Burgan scored all 19 of his points after halftime as he led Syracuse back from a 10-point deficit in the final 5:14.

Burgan opened the overtime with a 19-footer that gave Syracuse the lead for good.
