Armed Man Robs Convenience Store

A man armed with a pistol robbed a north Spokane convenience store late Monday, police said.

The robbery occurred at the Maid O’Clover store at 2005 N. Hamilton just before midnight.

The clerk said a man approached the cash register, pulled out a gun and demanded money. The robber grabbed some cash from the till and walked away. He was last seen headed west on Baldwin Avenue.

A police dog tracked the bandit as far as Cincinnati Street before losing the scent.

The clerk said the robber was black, in his mid-20s, about 6 feet tall, 170 pounds. He was wearing black clothing, including a ski mask.
