Purdue, Usc Matched

Purdue, coming off its first winning football season since 1984, will play Southern California on Aug. 30 in the season-opening Pigskin Classic in Los Angeles.

The matchup was announced by ABC Sports, which will televise the game at the L.A. Coliseum.

Ohio State University All-American linebacker Andy Katzenmoyer pleaded no contest to drunken driving and was sentenced to attend a three-day alcohol counseling program.

Judge William Pollitt of the Franklin County Municipal Court in Columbus, Ohio, also suspended Katzenmoyer’s license for six months and fined him $300 plus $50 in court costs.
