Inland Power Plans To Reduce Rates
Inland Power & Light Co. will reduce rates April 1 for its 30,000 members in Eastern Washington and North Idaho.
Residential and small commercial customers of the Spokane cooperative will pay 4 percent less, large commercial customers 7.5 percent less, said General Manager Richard Heitman.
The cuts are the second made possible in the last 18 months by lower costs of electricity from the Bonneville Power Administration and internal cost-reduction efforts, he said.
Together, Heitman said, the two decreases will trim bills 15 percent, or about $150 annually on an average home.
Inland will hold its annual members meeting March 28 at the Doubletree Hotel in the Spokane Valley. Registration begins at 9 a.m., the business meeting at 10:15 a.m.
