Seizinger Earns Titles

Compiled From Wire Services

Olympic champion Katja Seizinger is the women’s World Cup downhill and super-G champion for this season.

She clinched both titles when the International Ski Federation canceled the downhill and super-G races at Morzine, France, because of warm temperatures and heavy rain.

It was a record fifth super-G title for Seizinger and her fourth downhill title.

The cancellations meant that Seizinger could not be overtaken in the standings in the two disciplines. She also moved closer to clinching the overall World Cup title.
