Bonner Pot Raid Snares 150 Plants
Bonner County authorities raided a marijuana growing operation near Clark Fork on Friday and confiscated about 150 pot plants.
A trailer on Fish Hatchery Road with sophisticated alarm and lighting equipment was searched about 1 p.m. by drug agents.
No one was at the trailer, which had no living quarters and was used strictly for growing the plants. Some of the plants had recently been harvested and were laying on screens to dry. Arrest warrants have been issued for several people suspected of cultivating and selling the marijuana.
Authorities refused to release the names of the suspects until arrests are made. Inside the trailer, agents found a trolley-mounted lighting system and set of alarms connected to an outside motion detector.
A surveillance camera also was mounted about 70 feet up in a tree outside the trailer to monitor the road and driveway, authorities said.
