Omak Woman Murdered, Police Say

The death of an Omak woman is now being investigated as a homicide, police said Tuesday.

Sandy Bauer, 51, was found dead Friday afternoon in her basement apartment at 445 Okoma in Omak.

Autopsy results show that she died of suffocation and strangulation, police said.

Chelan County Coroner Dr. Jerry Rappe is conducting further tests, police said.

Police have no suspects. Anyone with information about Bauer’s death should call the Omak Police Department at 826-0383.
