New York City Extends Discount Program
New York City has enlarged a winter promotion with discounts for certain restaurants, theaters, attractions and shopping venues that’s noteworthy for its size the city says it’s the biggest such program ever and that the discounting is good through Aug. 31.
Called the “Do NY Right Centennial FunPass Metrocard” promotion, it includes discounted tickets (two for $100) to “Beauty and the Beast” on Broadway, $10 gift certificates for every $100 in purchases at Bloomingdale’s, and savings on sightseeing and other tours.
The FunPass package is available free at participating hotels and visitors centers in Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s Times Square and Grand Central Terminal. Information can also be obtained from the New York Convention and Visitors Bureau, phone 212-484-1222, or at Web site http://www.nycvisit.com
