Lilac Princess Selected At Nc

The ninth Lilac Festival princess was chosen Monday night.

Jennie Wallingford, a North Central High School senior, will represent her school. She is the daughter of Debra Wallingford.

Wallingford, 17, has been active in the writers’ guild, color guard, Santa’s workshop, Special Olympics and winterguard. She has competed in track and is a member of the National Honor Society.

She plans to attend Brigham Young University and study elementary education.

One of the Lilac princesses will be named queen April 18 at Ferris High School.
