Kaiser Eliminates 16 Trentwood Jobs

Kaiser Aluminum Corp. confirmed Wednesday that it has eliminated 16 salaried positions at the Trentwood flat-rolled products mill as part of its ongoing effort to stay cost-competitive.

The workers’ last day was Tuesday. This move reduces the plants salaried work force to 319 and total number of employees to 1,441.

The reduction of positions was a combination of early retirements and job eliminations, said company spokeswoman Susan Ashe. Those laid off have started with out-placement services.
