The committee will discuss a contract to modify the design of the Lincoln Street bridge, as well as review the six-year plans for streets, sewers and water service.

The council will consider spending $18,640 to buy and pay expenses for a car that will be used by the mayor. Also, City Manager Bill Pupo plans to give a report on the $22.65 million federal loan the city is helping secure for the developers of River Park Square. No public testimony will be taken on the issue.

Among other business at the 2 p.m. meeting, commissioners will consider selling surplus land at the corner of Trent Avenue and Argonne Road, to the owners of Argonne Village Shopping Center.

Spokane County Hearing Examiner

Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., public works building, 1026 W. Broadway

During the morning session, hearing examiner Mike Dempsey will consider a request for less restrictive zoning on 40 acres of farmland along Valley Chapel Road. During the afternoon session, Dempsey will consider plans to build a 131-unit manufactured home park on 19.5 acres near the intersection of Barker Road and Mission Avenue.

Among other business, the board will consider a contract for wheelchair lifts.

Conservation Futures Program

A citizens committee will take public comments and recommendations about land considered for purchase and preservation under the conservation futures program voters approved in November. This is the second of four hearings on the subject.
