Transportation Will Survey Drivers
The Idaho Transportation Department will stop motorists on Idaho Highway 21 between Grandjean Junction and Banner Summit during the coming week to conduct a survey on driving habits and road use.
The survey, along with avalanche test forecasting, is part of a multi-state project regarding natural hazards on rural roads.
The Winter/Alpine Engineering Laboratory at the University of Utah will conduct the survey Tuesday through Saturday.
Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Washington are participating in the project funded by a combination of state and federal funds.
