Kudos to the following students for their recent accomplishments:

University High senior Allison Fanning won the Gonzaga Concerto Piano Competition and was given the honor of playing with the Gonzaga Symphony-Orchestra on March 2 at the Met.

Andrew Steen, a senior at Central Valley, was designated a National Merit Scholar. This award was based on his SAT and PSAT scores.

Ken Griffey, who is a senior at Deer Park High School, won a football All-Star Award. This award is given to outstanding players from different high schools.

Kristen Saccomanno, a Gonzaga Prep senior, for organizing and supervising a bone marrow registry donor campaign at her school and in the community for a classmate who needs a bone marrow transplant.

Jim Giesen, University High senior, received the Inland Empire Knowledge Bowl MVP Award for the ESD 101 District.

Liz Wargo, a Central Valley senior and Running Start student competed in the Idaho Winter Games and took a gold medal in women’s downhill skiing.
