Title Bout Slated

Wilfredo Vazquez has given up the WBA featherweight title so he can challenge Naseem Hamed on April 18 for the WBO crown, British promoter Frank Warren said.

The British promoter had hoped the two fighters would each be defending their titles, but Vazquez, 37, had a mandatory challenge against Antonio Cermeno of Venezuela in the way.
