Park’s Rose Hill Wins National Award For 8th Time

The Rose Hill at Manito Park once again has received a national award for the quality of its display.

The garden recently won the All-American Rose Selections Award for Outstanding Maintenance.

This is the eighth time Manito has won this award.

“Rose Hill is a splendid tribute to the queen of flowers,” Henry Conklin, president of AARS said in a press release.

“Nowhere will you find a more stunning display of beauty and tranquility. It is a real asset to Spokane and a showcase for the world’s most loved flower.”

To qualify, an AARS public garden must have a minimum of 800 rose bushes and offer special displays of outstanding new varieties.

Each June, the garden has new varieties for visitors to preview.

There are 130 AARS gardens nationwide.
