Car Set Ablaze Near Minnehaha Park

A car was set on fire Friday night on East Euclid Avenue near Minnehaha Park.

The Spokane Fire Department extinguished the flames. Police found no suspects in the area.

Witnesses told police they saw several people driving a Chevrolet Citation recklessly in the area before smashing out its windows and setting it on fire.

Police found a rag soaked in oil stuffed in the gas tank and several opened cans of oil inside the vehicle.

The registered owner of the vehicle lives in Inchelium, Wash., police said. The vehicle had not been reported stolen at the time of the incident, police said.
