Rural Satellite TV Provider Changes

Rural Spokane County residents who have subscribed to satellite television service from Digital Television Services Inc. have a new provider.

Pegasus Satellite Television purchased the local market and others around the country from Digital for $299 million, according to a statement released Monday.

Spokeswoman Harron Ellenson said the change in ownership will not result in any changes in service, except that customers will now have access to two call centers for reporting problems or ask questions.

Pegasus resells DirecTV service.
