Police Seek Help From Motorist
Spokane police are asking for help from a driver who may have seen a speeding motorcyclist shortly before he crashed and died last month.
The wreck occurred about 1:40 a.m. on April 28 as Christopher Kraft was being pursued by a police officer.
Police say the 35-year-old Kraft ran a red light at Trent and Napa and nearly smashed into a car. A few minutes later, he drove his Yamaha 1100 into a light pole several blocks away.
Police want to talk to the driver of the vehicle that was nearly hit.
The motorist may have information that will help investigators determine what led up to the crash, traffic Sgt. Anthony Giannetto said. That person is not suspected of any wrongdoing, Giannetto added.
The driver and any other witnesses to the incident are asked to call Crime Check, 456-2233.
