Pair Rob Convenience Store, Injuring Two Employees
Two men robbed a Zip Trip at 1523 W. 10th Ave. on Saturday morning and injured two employees.
The robbers, one of which had a gun, entered the store around 6:15 a.m. One employee and a customer were in the front of the store and were ordered to the rear by the man with the gun.
Another employee was locked in an office. The robbers broke down the office door and took some cash, injuring the employee in the process. The other employee was hit on the back of the head.
The employees’ injuries were treated at the scene by medics.
The employees and customer could only provide a description of one of the robbers. He was described as white or a light-complexioned black person, in his 20s, about 5-feet-10-inches tall, 180 pounds and of medium build. He was wearing a blue, hooded sweatshirt and a red bandanna covering part of his face.
