Idaho Mining Group Has New Website

From Staff

The Idaho Mining Association has launched a new website - www.idahomining.org.

The website provides information ranging from business and current events to historical and geological facts. It also details the environmental policies of Idaho’s mining companies, including recent awards. Later this year the website will add an educational contest.

“Idaho’s mining industry plays an important role in the state’s economy, environment and history, and we want to have as much interaction with local communities as possible,” said Idaho Mining Association Executive Director Jack Lyman.

Idaho’s mining industry employs more than 5,000 workers who collectively earn $200 million annually. Idaho provides the nation with the widest array of minerals of any state - including gold, silver, molybdenum, lead, zinc and phosphate.
