A total of 18 air quality complaints were reported to the Spokane County Air Pollution Control Authority between May 3 and May 8.

The most common complaint, open fire, was reported five times.

May 3

Open fire was reported at 4611 S. Craig Road at 7:09 a.m.

May 4

Open fire was reported at 14000 block of N. Newport Highway at 3:23 p.m.

May 5

Dust from unpaved road was reported at 500 block of N. Collins at 8:40 a.m.

May 6

Dust from unpaved road was reported at 8000 block of E. Ridgeway Road at 8:50 a.m.

Odors were reported at National Food Corporation/Mill Road at 9:40 a.m.

Dust was reported at BNSF-Yardley to Park Road at 9:35 a.m.

Odors were reported at 11304 E. Alki at 10:50 a.m.

Spray painting/odors were reported at 3616 N. Flora Road at 11:55 a.m.

Dust was reported at 2300 block of E. Bennett at 3:35 p.m.

Vehicle emissions were reported at WM Winkler Co. at 5:04 p.m.

May 7

Dust from unpaved road was reported at 3700 block of W. Crown Place at 9:07 a.m.

Open fire was reported at 13th and Walnut at 9:18 a.m.

Smoke/odors from a solid fuel burning device, such as a wood stove or fireplace were reported at 8521 E. Cataldo Ave. at 3:45 p.m.

Open fire was reported at 1124 N. Freya at 3:10 p.m.

May 8

Dust from construction was reported at E. 800 block of C. St., Deer Park, at 9:45 a.m.

Open fire was reported at 4704 E. Mayhew at 10:03 a.m.

Dust was reported at 1200 block of E. Lyons at 1:10 p.m.

Odors were reported at Baker Commodities at 7:54 p.m.
