Riverside District Plans Upgrades
Riverside School District officials have mapped out a plan on how to spend the $2.6 million generated from a bond measure earlier this year.
“The prime focus will be on modernizing a wing of Riverside Middle School,” said Greg Minden, the district’s maintenance supervisor. “The entire building is scheduled to get air conditioning.”
Riverside Elementary School will get an updated cafeteria and expanded playfields. Both schools will also receive new telephone systems, he said.
Riverside High School may get a new gym floor and new ceiling tiles. The outdoor track will also get a new surface.
Technology upgrades have already started at Chattaroy Elementary School. A computer, printer and television will be installed in every class.
