Two Men Arrested For Theft

A Wal-Mart employee was arrested Saturday for second-degree theft of store merchandise.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael A. Emerson, 27, of 609 S. Arthur just after 2 a.m. Also arrested for second-degree theft was Eddie, A. Zambrano, 24, address unknown.

A Wal-Mart night supervisor called police after an employee saw two men drive up to a delivery door and grab a box containing two new Nintendo game sets they had not paid for.

Earlier that day, the supervisor noticed the box sitting outside the door, deputies said. Suspicious, he told another employee to hide nearby and see if anyone came to take it.

Deputies arrested the men near the store.
