WSU Baseball Player Charged In Connection With Campus Riot
A Washington State University baseball player was charged with felony riot and assault Tuesday.
Whitman County Prosecutor James Kaufman said Nason Beckett of Port Angeles, Wash., is the 11th person to be charged and the 15th to be arrested in connection with a campus riot on May 3.
Beckett is the second WSU athlete who, police allege, was involved in the riot that injured two dozen police officers and caused thousands of dollars in property damage.
WSU football player Brenden Marshall was arrested last week in connection with the rampage.
