Hamblen Presbyterian Will Offer Bible School
The arrival of Memorial Day means summer is just around the corner.
Some area churches are already gearing up for the summer tradition of vacation Bible schools.
Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church will host children age 3 through the sixth grade for vacation Bible school June 15-19. The theme for the program is “Passport to the Holy Land.”
The cost is $12 per child or $30 per family, which includes a T-shirt. The registration deadline is June 7.

Hamblen Park will also be honoring Pastor Ken Onstot on May 31 for 10 years of service at the church. The Rev. Steve Jenks, interim presbytery executive for the Inland Northwest Presbytery, will speak at the 9 and 10:30 a.m. worship services.
A picnic of submarine sandwiches and ice cream will be held after the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
A free-will offering of $1.50 per sandwich is requested. Those attending are also asked to bring a salad to share.

Christian concert on Friday
Manito United Methodist Church will host a special concert of Christian music at 7 p.m. Friday.
The concert will feature “Looking Johnny” from Boise, “Good Tree Bears” from Wenatchee, and “Circus” from Spokane.
The concert will be in the Manito Presbyterian Youth Center, located in the former Manito Library at 401 E. 30th. Admission will be $5 at the door.
